Happy Together met Debbie Pulford.....

Vandaag op het blog van Scrapplezier een prachtig layout gemaakt door Debbie Pulford, voor dit layout heeft zij de prachtige collectie Wandering Ivy gebruikt die afkomstig is uit de collecties van Kaisercraft.

Debbie mailde mij het volgende :

I used a piece of Blue Fields as my base.  I then took a piece of Ivy Wall and cut the ivy off of it.  I then cut each wooden plank, and distressed all edges.  I also distressed the edges of the base paper.

 

 

I then tore strips from Province and Blue Posy.

 

To put it all together, I laid the strips of Ivy Wall on the base, and laid my photo on top just to judge the positioning.  I adhered the Ivy Wall strips but left room at the top and bottom to layer the torn strips.  I took a length of sticker from the 12x12 sticker sheet, cut it and placed it top left and bottom right for more layers.  Before doing anything else, I took some gold mist, as well as Kaisercraft Antique Gold mist and splattered over the Ivy Wall strips.

 

 

I matted my photo in Archives and Blue Posy,  and then used some craft foam for dimension.  I took another sticker from the 12x12 sticker sheet and laid in on the Ivy Wall to be on the left hand side of my photo.  I then stuck my photo down, rolling up the edges of the bottom photo matt.  I added further stickers from the 12x12 sheet and well as some diecuts from the Collectibles.  The chipboard title and arrow heart were sprayed with Kaiser Antique Gold mist prior to adding the gold accents.

 

 

And that's it!!  I hope I have inspired you to cut apart and distress some paper to use on your background.

 

Prachtig project om de maand mee te starten, veel papier, veel inkt, veel technieken dus wij kunnen met z'n alle ons hart ophalen en ons laten inspireren door dit geweldige layout!!

Just Loving Our Life met Debbie Pulford......

Vandaag op het blog van Scrapplezier een prachtig layout speciaal gedesigned met de geweldige Wandering Ivy collectie van Kaisercraft en stickers uit èèn van de vele Kaiser Stationery Sticker Books!! 

Debbie mailde mij het volgende :

I decided to use a black and white photo as the colours in the photo were hard to match.

 

I used a sheet of Plaster Rose for the base. I matted my photo with Blue Fields, then cut a wide strip of Cobalt and B side of Blue Fields and placed vertically under my photo.  I cut a right angle triangle and a 2cm strip from a sheet of Blue Posy.  The triangle was placed in the top left hand corner and the strip went along the bottom.

 

 

I used some diecuts from the Collectibles pack, some stickers from the sticker sheet and some flag, banner and word stickers from the sticker book.  I finished with a splatter of gold mist.

 

 

Wat een prachtige afsluiting van deze maand, uit geweldige collectie's  kunnen niet anders dan geweldige designs volgen. Wandering Ivy bestaat uit prachtige kleuren zoals blauw - groen - roomwit, deze kleuren zijn precies in balans gebracht.

Vandaag op het blog van Scrapplezier een prachtig design van Debbie Pulford, zij heeft voor dit project de prachtige collectie van Kaisercraft gebruikt "Wandering Ivy".  Wandering Ivy is een lust voor het oog en is zeer zeker de mooite waard om deze collectie aan te schaffen. 

Kaisercraft omschrijft deze collectie als volgt......

Soft ivory tones and vintage floral sketches make Wandering Ivy a decidedly provincial affair. While bright splashes of colourful green and blue offer a fresh take on an otherwise traditionally vintage collection.

Debbie mailde mij het volgende :

My layout for you today uses the beautiful Wandering Ivy collection from Kaisercraft.  I love the blues and silver in this collection, and the addition of the green is to die for.

 

I started with a white base as I thought this would highlight the collection the best.  I knew I was going to use circles and that they would go across the middle of the page so I knew that both the top and bottom would need something to ground the layout.  My usual pen doodling around the edge did not appeal to me for this layout.

 

I cut the branding strip from the Panelling piece of paper,  and 12" sticker from the sticker sheet; one for the top and one for the bottom of the layout.  I then took another 12x12 sticker and cut it and placed it on top and below the bottom sticker and cut a narrow strip from the Cobalt paper and cut at the same lengths for the top of the layout.  I then cut my photo, and papers with my Creative Memories Circle cutters – the photo is 3.25", the Archives paper is 3.5", blue piece is from the 6.5x6.5 paper pad and is cut at 3.25", and finally the silver piece is also from the paper pad and cut at 2.5".  The final circle is from the diecuts pack. 

 

I cut a white doily in half and layered my photo onto that, then placed the circles down, overlapping to fit on the base.  I took a flower from a Kaisercraft wood veneer collection, and using Tacky Glue, sprinkled coarse glitter onto it, to match my title letters.  The flowers are a combination of diecuts and stickers and some have foam dots for depth.  I used a heart and the white scrolls from the diecuts pack and finished off the layout with silver sequins.

 

 

This has to be one of my favourite layouts of all time, and came together really quickly.  I love how Kaisercraft collections have everything you need – don't you?
