Vandaag op het blog een zelfgemaakte Tutorial speciaal voor de kerst van Cathy Sanders, tutorial is in engels met bijpassende foto's.
Foiled Christmas Ornaments
For this tutorial I decided to go very simple and make my own Christmas ornaments with the craft supplies I have on hand.
1.
I started with a Silhouette studio file of ornaments... some off the
Design Store and some from Just Nick Cutfiles. I sized them all to be
about 3.5 inches tall and fit them onto one sheet of white cardstock.
Cut these out.
I then removed the insides and
recut the ornament shapes from a sheet of red cardstock so that I could
back them if I needed too.
2. Once all the
ornaments were cut I ran them through my Xyron Creative Station sticker
maker to add adhesive to the front (remember to turn word ornaments over
so that the glue is on the correct side).
3.
Now the fun begins. I chose various foils to apply and ended up using
silver, gold, teal, green, red and blue. Lay the ornament on the
backside of the foil with the glue side down. Rub gently over the
ornament to make sure the foil is nicely stuck and then slowly peel the
ornament off. This might not give a 100% coverage but you can re-lay the
foil over any missed areas.
I used some of my
ornaments as templates on the red backings and applied the foil glue
through the spaces to make another design. Once the glue is tacky then
apply the foil.
At the end I have 12 new ornaments for my Christmas tree.
Prachtige zelfgemaakte ornamenten voor in de kerstboom, deze tutorial is ook heel goed met de kinderen te doen zodat zij een eigen ornament in de boom hebben.
Bedankt voor het kijken en tot morgen!!
